2010 Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Summer Exhibition

The Guild is proud to announce it’s hosting of the 2010 Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Exhibition at the Neal Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, on July 30 and 31, 2010.

Our friend Mike Chock walks us through some of the basic interests at this years guild exhibition. The show was piggy-backed beside Wayne and Ilene's giant summer Hawaii All Collectibles Show. So the number of visitors and the size of the show was phenomenal. Let's go in and see what he has to show us.

One of the focuses of this year's exhibition was a look at some historical ukulele. Two of the guild members brought in some very rare ukulele to have on display. Mike Chock shows us some of these ukes.

If you have a question about ukulele, you might want to Ask Kimo Hussey. He has all the answers about which ukulele might be right for you.

Tom Walsh has become an expert in the identification and mysteries of the ukulele. He is married to Nuni-Lyn, possibly because of their shared love for this Hawaiian instrument and the fact that Nuni is part of the family tree that begins with Manuel Nunes, one of the original ukulele luthiers in the Hawaiian islands. I brought Tom a somewhat unique ukulele to see what he could tell me about it. Tom was plying his expertise at the 2010 Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Exhibition at the Neal Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, on July 30 and 31, 2010. I was very impressed.
